Qualifications:
Professional Certification Designation
- Current full-time employment as a qualified supervisor* with at least 3 months' experience.
- Completed Supervisory Skill Builders Gaming series.
- Valid indefinitely from date earned.
*A qualifying supervisor is a person who supervises two or more individuals; has job duties that are at least 20 percent supervisory in nature and include such tasks as scheduling, training, interviewing, disciplining, inspecting, and conducting performance reviews; makes decisions and judgment calls while performing daily duties; and has input on hiring and firing decisions within a department.
Exam Fee:
- AH&LA Members**: US $75.00
- Non-AHLA Members: US $95.00
Fee includes application and exam, plus designation, lapel pin, and certificate for those who qualify and reach the 70% passing score.

How to Apply for CGS Certification
- Print and complete the application form. (You must have Adobe Acrobat to view this application form. Click Adobe Acrobat to download program).
- Ask your supervisor to complete the CGS Recommendation / Employment Verification Form that comes with the application. Include the form with your completed application.
- Mail or fax (407-999-8610) the completed application form, along with the supporting documentation and the appropriate fee.
- Within three weeks, the Educational Institute will review the application and send notification of acceptance.
- Within 6 months of enrollment date, successfully complete the CGS comprehensive exam through an approved proctor.
