Privileges and Benefits
The exclusive right within a protected territory (city, country or multiple countries) to:
- Offer EI's individual course certificates, areas of specialization and
diploma in a classroom or distance learning environment
- Market and distribute EI products provided at discounted prices
- Use the EI name and registered marks
- Train and certify faculty members/eligible employees
Term of Agreement:
Five (5) years, with renewal provisions
Use of EI Name and Trademarks:
Exclusive right to use
name, logos, and trademarks of the Educational
Institute of the American Hotel & Lodging
Association (AH&LA)
Exclusive Area or Territory:
Boundaries of protected territory will be defined and made a part of the Agreement
Other Privileges and Benefits:
- Option to serve as an exclusive distribution agent and represent EI within the protected territory
- Revenue-generating opportunities through outreach programs which
include professional certification, distance learning, group study,
and industry seminars
- Availability of state-of-the-art methodology, curricula, and
hospitality education materials
Fees:
- License Origination Fee
- Annual Maintenance
Other Financial Obligations:
Responsible for the travel expenses of an EI representative, including
initial and follow-up visits (faculty
member/eligible employee certification and
annual inspections)
Obligations of EI:
- Protect exclusive territory
- Certify faculty members
- Extend most favorable pricing
- Provide technical assistance as available
- Maintain standards throughout the network of licensed schools
- Promote EI name and products internationally
